Conversations with Baboons

So we went to the zoo today. I love the baboon exhibit. I always have, I think it is the sophomoric feeling of knowing I can look at the red butts and make jokes and it is socially acceptable. So we were there and the baboons were hanging out. Well one starts to dig in the other ones fur and I told Demi see they are looking for bugs. She starts giggling. I said wait they are going to eat whatever they find and sure as poop they eat what they found off the baboon they were grooming.

Then we notice one baboon was lying on his back holding its leg up in the air and the another baboon was examining its butt. This is when I could no longer contain myself and had 4 children in hysterical laughing fits. I said look that baboon is checking its butt out and it is going to find poop and eat it and sure enough the baboon proved me right and ate some poop and then I think the baboon understood me and looked at me and smiled. OMG the kids were rolling with laughter and I kept the comments going about this poop bit. Then another baboon was walking and sat down and stared at me and we had a conversation about poop. I asked it poop tasted good, the baboon smiled at me, I asked how the baboon was doing today and he smiled at me, I asked why is his butt always red and he smiled at me and then went back to groom the other baboon's butt and eat its poop.

This is why humans evolved and baboons didn't!!!!
