House Painters needed!

My hubby and I bought a new construction house 3 years ago. They builders said not to paint it the first year. We are such rule followers we didn't paint. I have asked for 2 years now for gift cards to buy paint because that shit is expensive. Hello $30/gallon for polymers. Anyway, finally this was the year! My parents got Jason and I a gift card to The Home Depot, so we can buy paint and lots of it!

Such a great gift UNTIL I realized I have to actually paint. Now the anxiety and panic sets in. What colors to use, how to paint, do I want to do those awesome wall treatments or keep it basic. Decisions decisions decisions. Lucky for me my brother said he will help me.

I wish I could hire an interior decorator to help me decide the best colors. I want to do colors and not your basic neutral colors. I am afraid of color. HELP!
